Shahkot is a Tehsil of
Nankana Sahib District . The town has a population of 40 thousand and is located at 31°33'42" NORTH 73°29'15" EAST. It is on theSheikhupura -Faisalabad Highway which brings much traffic to the area. The Town is connected by road toSangla Hill ,Chak Jhumra ,Salarwala ,Jaranwala and the district capitalNankana Sahib . The chain of small hills is is a picturesque feature of the town, and many worshippers come to the shrine ofBaba Nolukh Hazari . This shrine is situated at the summit of a hill and people visit it and offer prayers. A festival is conducted every year and birth of thisSufi is celebrated. People travel for great distances to worship here.Industry
Shahkot has a strong industrial base. Some local companies are the Haseeb Waqas sugar mills, Rana Texile, Sitara Chemicals and the Allah Hu Marble Factory.
