Sean Doolittle

Sean Doolittle is a first baseman who was drafted by the Oakland Athletics of Major League Baseball 41st overall in the 2007 Major League Baseball Draft. [ [http://mlb.mlb.com/mlb/events/draft/y2007/drafttracker.jsp 2007 MLB.com Draft tracker] ]

Doolittle played for the University of Virginia Cavaliers baseball team as both a starting pitcher and first baseman. He formerly held the record for wins in a career for a Virginia pitcher (22), which has since been passed by former teammate Jacob Thompson. Attended Shawnee High School in Medford, New Jersey, where he was a stand out pitcher and hitter.

Sean made his professional debut on June 18, 2007. He is currently playing for the Midland RockHounds, the Oakland Athletics' AA team.

College Life

In the Spring of 2006, Sean became an official member of a organization called "The Gang". He was a frequenter of a hang out zone that went by the name of "The Nest". Sean would often study, watch tv and just generally hang out with the other fellows who also frequented "The Nest"*...
