Zachary Taylor Shafer (born July, 1866 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; died October 27, 1945 in Glendale, California) was a Major League Baseball player in the 19th century. He played parts of two seasons. In by|1884, he played for three teams in the Union Association mainly as an outfielder, and in by|1890 he played for the Philadelphia Athletics of the American Association mainly as a second baseman.

Shafer was the brother of baseball player Orator Shaffer.
