East Leake railway station
- East Leake railway station
East Leake railway station is a former railway station serving East Leake, and is the only surviving Great Central Railway station accessed from an underbridge rather than an overbridge. The preserved Great Central Railway passes through but the station has not yet been reopened, and it is unlikely to be reopened. Local residents oppose any reopening as it would bring traffic/parking problems. Thus it cannot be reopened without recourse to a new Transport and Works order. Apart from anything else it would need new station buildings as these have been demolished and a new the entrance/exit onto a busy road is less than ideal. It can still be used in emergencies. Rushcliffe Halt is nearby.
