village in theArdudwy area ofGwynedd ,Wales .The village of Llandanwg is situated to the west of the coastal road between
Llanbedr andHarlech . Originally it was a small collection of farms to the north of theriver Artro , close to where it enters the sea. Later developments expanded the size of the village. There is an easily accessiblebeach , which is popular in the summer months, at the end of the road through the village. The
parish church ofSaint Tanwg at Llandanwg is situated just behind the beach in thesand dune s. The church ismedieval , probably dating from the13th century , however there are two6th century inscribed stones which indicates much earlier activity, and it has probably been a place of worship from the early5th century .
