Watertown High School is the local high school for Watertown, Massachusetts. Accomplishments

Watertown High has brought home several sports championships, as well as the State Championship of 2007 for boys' basketball.Watertown is also well known for their reluctancy to cancel school due to bad weather. Having refused to cancel when it was clearly necessary multiple times. They also have a winning Field Hockey team every year! Current News

Students at Watertown High School have recently united to protest against what they believe is an unfair administration. Although students were never allowed off campus lunch like many other schools, they generally accepted and bypassed this by ordering food. Recently restricted, the ban on ordering food has just been a simple addition to the overload of restrictions placed by Noftsker.Previously, the catwalk-- a hallway above the gymnasium-- was "closed to pedestrian traffic," for unspecified reasons. Then the vending machines, simple juice and water machines, were unplugged or taken out of the cafeteria. Then, it was announced that no student outside of a first, second, or third period lunch would be allowed to purchase bagels or drinks from the cafeteria. Those in studies had the first five minutes to buy breakfast, assuming they had their ID and were juniors or seniors. Lastly, fifth period senior study was kicked out of the cafeteria to be split up into different classrooms, most of which did not have enough chairs for them, for unspecified reasons.Without water, juice, or breakfast allowed, students began to see that there would be no end to this. In protest, they formed a facebook group and refused to buy lunch. Then, after an unsuccessful and passive aggressive meeting with the headmaster, students decided to skip second period and hold a sit in. Although the sit in was broken up, it showed how united the students were against these new policies.
