Granada 74 Club de Fútbol, known commonly as Granada 74, is a Spanish football club based in Granada, Andalusia. The club currently plays in the 2ªB - Group 4. Its stadium is Estadio Escribano Castilla, located in Motril, approximately 60km from Granada.

History

Granada 74 CF was created on June 6 2007, when Carlos Marsá Valdovinos, an investor from Granada, bought Segunda División club Ciudad de Murcia. Ciudad's footballing rights and contracts were transferred to the newly founded Granada 74 CF.In practice this means that Ciudad has been relocated to Granada even if the club is considered a new entity. Ciudad players still under contract for the 2007/08 season will have the option to stay with the new club or cancel their contract [ [http://www.cadenaser.com/articulo/deportes/Caso/precedentes/Granada/74/Segunda/comprar/plaza/Ciudad/Murcia/csrcsrpor/20070606csrcsrdep_3/Tes/ www.cadenaser.com (in Spanish)] ] .

As part of the deal creating the club, Tercera División club CP Granada 74 became Granada 74 CF's reserve team. [ [http://www.cpgranada74.com/noticias/1equipo/1821.asp www.cpgranada74.com (in Spanish)] ] .
