Sandviken is an industrial town (pop. 24,000) in Gästrikland, Sweden and the seat of Sandviken Municipality, Gävleborg County, situated about 25 km west of Gävle.

Note: As "Sandviken" means "the sandy bay" there are numerous other places of that name throughout Scandinavia.
