Janine Burke, (born
2 March 1952 ), inMelbourne , Victoria,Australia , is awriter andnovelist , and art critic and historian.After growing up in
Melbourne ,Adelaide , and Perth, she graduated fromMelbourne University with an Arts Degree in 1974. She subsequently completed a Master of Arts degree atLaTrobe University in 1983 and a Doctor of Philosophy degree atDeakin University in 2001. She was a founding member of the feminist art journal "Lip". She currently lives inMelbourne .Awards
