Daniel Bruce (born October 3, 1982 in Lincoln, Nebraska) is a former outfielder for the Nebraska Cornhuskers. He was part of the 2002 and the 2005 College World Series teams.

High school
Daniel went to Millard West High School. They were state runner-up and ranked nationally in 2001. He was a preseason All-American and had a .448 batting average, led the state with 48 RBIs.
Nebraska
Daniel was named Collegiate Baseball freshman All-American in 2002. He batted with a .299 average with 5 home runs and 41 RBIs in 59 games. He broke the schools single season record for hit by pitches which is 6th in NCAA history. He had 14 multi hit games and had a .333 average in 2 College World Series games. In his sophomore year he batted a .311 average with 6 home runs and 33 RBIs in 61 games. He had 16 multi hit games. He played with the Santa Barbara Foresters in the summer hitting .291 in 44 games. In 2004, Daniel hit .243 with 8 home runs and 33 RBIs in 56 games. he stole 8 bases out of 9 attempts. He had 11 multi hit games. He hit .125 in 3 Big 12 Conference Tournament games. He batted .322 with 72 hits, 32 RBIs and 5 home runs in 69 games as a senior. He was hit by 10 pitches becoming 5th all time in the NCAA.

Law School
Daniel currently attends the University of Nebraska College of Law in Lincoln, Nebraska. Daniel received a "CALI" award (given by the Center for Computer-Assisted Legal Instruction to students for earning the highest grade in their respective class) for Property Law and International Trade Law. During the summer of 2008, Daniel worked as a summer associate for Kutak Rock LLP, a national law firm with its headquarters in Omaha, Nebraska.
