Ticao Island

Ticao Island is one of the three major islands of Masbate Province in the Philippines. The other two major Islands are Masbate Island and Burias Island.

The island is divided into the municipalities of Batuan, Monreal, San Fernando and San Jacinto.

ticao is a place where many manta rays are seen. it is a favorite dive site for local and foreign divers.

Adventure Bound dive team discovered Manta Bowl in the 2000 and began taking friends and guest divers there through Bulan town at first. Then Adventure Bound began operating from Donsol, taking in two sites in one trip, Whaleshark interaction in Donsol and Manta Bowl diving in Ticao Pass. Advenuture Bound maintains a consistent promise of conservation, ecotourism and dedication to the mantas of Ticao by forming Rays of Hope.

Rays of Hope is a non formal organization aimed at conserving and preserving the Mantas of Ticao Pass through programs and projects that support ecotourism and alternative sustainable livlihood for the people of Ticao and Donsol.

Exploration efforts of Adventure Bound in the Donsol and Ticao area have led to the discovery of Deep Walls for Technical Diving and a deep pinnacle named St Jeromes Rock for the deep diver. Adventure Bound also operates in Puerto Galera and Anilao for macro diving and recreational diving to Verde Island Passages. Adventure Bound discovered the famed Manta Bowl and is operating in Woodland Resort for Whaleshark Interaction.
