Steve Merfeld

Steve Merfeld is the former head men's basketball coach at Hampton University and the University of Evansville. After leading the Hampton Pirates to back-to-back NCAA tournaments, including a first-round upset of second-seeded Iowa State in 2001, Merfeld was hired as the head coach at Evansville, where he coached until the 2007 season.
