- Sadová
Sadová (German: "Sadowa") is a village in the
Hradec Králové Region of theCzech Republic . It is part ofMikroregion Nechanicko and lies on a main road and a railroad fromHradec Králové toJičín . In2004 , it had 127 houses and 325 inhabitants.On
July 3 ,1866 , the area around Sadová became the scene of theBattle of Königgrätz , the bloodiest battle of theAustro-Prussian War . There are many monuments and graves in and around Sadová commemorating this event. The main battlefield and museum is located in the nearby village ofChlum about 4 km away.External links
