Linh Quang Vien

General Linh Quang Vien was born on November 11, 1918, Cao Bang, northern Vietnam.

Biography

He attended Albert Sarraut High School, Hanoi, and graduated in 1939.

In 1958, he graduated from Command and General Staff College, Fort Leavenworth, Kansas.

He served in the Army of the Republic of Vietnam (ARVN) and rose to the rank of Lieutenant General.

In April 1975, he escaped during the Fall of Saigon because he was anti-communist. He was offered political asylum and immigrated to the United States.

Since 1995, he has served as the Vice Prime Minister of an exiled anti-communist organization known as The Government of Free Vietnam.
