- My Wife Next Door
-
My Wife Next Door was a BBC sitcom written by Brian Clemens and Richard Waring that was first broadcast in 1972. It ran for just 13 episodes and focused on a couple, George Basset, (played by John Alderton), and Suzie Basset, (played by Hannah Gordon). Each tries to start afresh after their divorce. They move to the country, only to find that they have moved into adjoining cottages.[1]
When the series was repeated in 1979, it gained even better ratings than its first outing and topped the BBC1 weekly ratings several times during the repeat run.
VHS/DVD
A video was released featuring three episodes from the series in the 1980s. There are no plans for a DVD release in the near future.
