Jeffrey Jones , previously regarded as acharacter actor , ascartoonist Walter Kellogg, a man whose imagination was so vivid that many of the things which he imagined materialized immediately. His wife Abigail was portrayed by "Saturday Night Live " alumnaMary Gross . They had two children, and Abigail's sister "Sissy", portrayed byChristina Pickles , was also a regular, as was a meddlesome mailman, Thurman Fippa (Leslie Jordan ). The character Debbie was played byJackie Swanson ."The People Next Door", which was obviously inspired by the success of "
