Immaculate High School is a private, Roman Catholic high school in Danbury, Connecticut. It is located in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Bridgeport.

Mission Statement

Immaculate High School’s mission in the Catholic tradition is to foster the development of the whole student. Immaculate High school nurtures spiritual, moral, intellectual, physical, and social growth through an academically rigorous curriculum in the humanities, the sciences, mathematics, and the fine arts, as well as, a competitive athletic program. History

Immaculate High School is a college preparatory school, established in the Roman Catholic tradition within the Diocese of Bridgeport, Connecticut. IHS is nestled in the rolling hills of Western Connecticut and serves 23 towns in the greater Danbury area. Immaculate provides a challenging academic education in a wholesome and disciplined environment. The school values character formation, moral development and spiritual direction and welcomes students from all backgrounds and religious traditions.

Immaculate High School's mission is to foster the development of the whole student and the whole student body. Immaculate nurtures spiritual, moral, intellectual, physical, and social growth through an academically rigorous curriculum in the humanities, the sciences, mathematics and the fine arts, as well as, a competitive athletic program and a comprehensive program of extracurricular activities.

Immaculate High School is now 43 years old; and historically enrolls 400 to 500 young men and women from 9th through 12th grades. Current enrollment is 409 students, of which 32% are from the city of Danbury, 61% from the Connecticut towns surrounding Danbury and 7% from near-by towns in New York State. Additional demographics that help define the student body identify 17% as non-Catholic and 83% Catholic. Student ethnicity includes 2 ½ % Hispanic; 1 ½% each Asian, Black and Multi-Racial; and 1% American Indian/Pacific Islander.

Since the turn of the century, 97% of the Immaculate graduates have gone on the further their education and 93% of these have achieved either their first or second college of choice. Sixty-three percent of those graduating achieve some form of college scholarship or grant, the total of which exceeds $3 million dollars per year. College Prep

Immaculate High School is committed to academic excellence. Every year over 95 % of our students continue their education and 78% attend the their first-choice college. Our studnets' SAT scores regularly exceed national and State of Connecticut averages.

Athletics

Immaculate students are encouraged to participate in our many athletic programs in freshman, junior varsity and varsity levels. The Mustang athletic program belongs to the South - West Conference and competes in class "S" in most sports.The young men and women enrolled at Immaculate have numerous opportunities to participate in a first-class athletic program. In fact, there are 14 varsity sports for men and 12 varsity sports for women.

The school's campus features the new Mustang Valley multiuse field. This beautifully maintained turf field is used for football,lacrosse, track, soccer, field hockey and physical education class when weather permits. A brand new state of the art track is also available for the student body. The school facility houses a 800-seat gymnasium, a new weight room, and a designated wrestling area.
