William Scheuneman Kenyon

William Scheuneman Kenyon (December 13, 1820 - February 10, 1896) was a U.S. Representative from New York.

Born in Catskill, New York, Kenyon attended a private academy in Catskill, and the Kinderhook Academy.He was graduated from Rutgers College, New Brunswick, New Jersey, in 1842.He studied law in Kingston, New York.He was admitted to the bar in Albany, New York in 1846 and commenced practice in Kingston.He was one of the incorporators of the Ulster County Savings Bank and served as trustee for forty-four years.

Kenyon was elected as a Republican to the Thirty-sixth Congress (March 4, 1859-March 3, 1861).He was not a candidate for renomination in 1860.He resumed the practice of law.He served as delegate to the Republican National Convention in 1872 and 1876.He served as judge of Ulster County 1883-1889.He served as chairman of the Republican county committee many years.He died in Kingston, New York, February 10, 1896.He was interred in Wiltwyck Rural Cemetery.
