Michael F. Conry

Michael Francis Conry (April 2, 1870 - March 2, 1917) was a U.S. Representative from New York.

Born in Shenandoah, Pennsylvania, Conry was employed in the coal mines until crippled for life. He attended the public schools, and taught for seven years. He graduated from the law department of the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor in 1896, was admitted to the bar and commenced practice in Scranton, Pennsylvania. He was an unsuccessful candidate for election in 1900 to the Fifty-seventh Congress. Having moved to New York City and resumed the practice of law, he served two years as assistant corporation counsel of the city of New York.

Conry was elected as a Democrat to the Sixty-first and to the three succeeding Congresses and served from March 4, 1909, until his death. He died in Washington, D.C., March 2, 1917, and was interred in Calvary Cemetery, New York City.
