Lemuel Jenkins

Lemuel Jenkins (October 201789 - August 181862) was a United States Representative from New York.

Jenkins was born in Bloomingburg, New York on October 201789, where he completed preparatory studies and studied law. He was admitted to the Sullivan County bar in October 1815 and practiced in Bloomingburg, New York. He served as master in chancery and was the first district attorney of Sullivan County and served from June 1818 to March 1819.

Jenkins was elected as a Crawford Democratic-Republican to the 18th United States Congress (March 41823 - March 31825). He moved to Albany, New York, and resumed the practice of law. He died in Albany, New York on August 181862 and is interred in Albany Rural Cemetery.
