John W. Ferdon

John William Ferdon (December 13, 1826 - August 5, 1884) was a U.S. Representative from New York.

Born in Piermont, New York, Ferdon was graduated from Rutgers College, New Brunswick, New Jersey, in 1847.He studied law.He was admitted to the bar and practiced.He served as member of the State assembly in 1855.He served in the State senate in 1856 and 1857.He served as delegate to the Republican National Convention in 1864 and 1876.

Ferdon was elected as a Republican to the Forty-sixth Congress (March 4, 1879-March 3, 1881).He died in Monmouth Beach, New Jersey, on August 5, 1884.He was interred in private cemetery on the Ferdon estate in Piermont, New York.
