Ken Rosato (Born May 4, 1967 in New Rochelle, New York) is an American journalist. Rosato is the anchor of WABC-TV's morning and noon newscasts alongside Lori Stokes. Rosato replaced Steve Bartelstein, who was dropped from WABC-TV on March 13,2007. Career as a Journalist

Prior to working at ABC7, Rosato worked at WNYW-TV (New York City) as an anchor and reporter from 2002-2003. Like his colleagues Jeff Pegues and Phil Lipof, Rosato spent time in Miami/Fort Lauderdale, Florida as an anchor at WFOR-TV from 1998-2002. Rosato was a panelist for "WLIW 21 Edition" on WLIW-PBS-ch21.

Rosato also worked as an anchor for 1010 WINS Radio in New York City, and was news director and main anchor at WBLI-FM and WLNY-TV, both on Long Island. While at WBLI and WLIW, he went by KEN RHODES.

The Transition from Reporter to Anchor at WABC-TV

On the morning of July 6, 2007, the New York Press made public the following announcement from the officials at Channel 7: "After a careful search and evaluation, I am pleased to announce that Ken Rosato will be joining Lori Stokes and Bill Evans on "Eyewitness News This Morning" and "Eyewitness News at Noon". Ken has been a familiar face on the morning show for almost 4 years as a general assignment reporter" - News Director and WABC-TV Vice President Kenny Plotnik said. Rosato only began to fill in at the anchor desk on June 4, 2007, interchangibly. According to the "New York Daily News", "Of all the reporters and anchors that have sat in during the four month trial period, Rosato stands out from the rest when he sits next to Lori." WABC-TV's managers also commented that Rosato would replace Bartelstein exactly four months to the date of Bartelstein's last newscast for Channel 7. Rosato successfully competed against a number of different reporters, including weekend morning anchors Michelle Charlesworth, Phil Lipof and his fellow morning colleague Lisa Colagrossi. Rosato officially assumed the role of morning and noon anchor on July 9, 2007, although he has filled-in since July 5.

Rosato has also reported since inheriting the role of noon anchor. On Thursday, July 19, 2007, Mr. Rosato reported on the 5 and 6 p.m. editions of "Eyewitness News" about the Steam Pipe Explosion in New York City.

Career as an Ordained Catholic Priest

Off the air, Ken is referred to as "Father Ken Rosato". From 2001 to 2003, Ken was pastor at Saint Anthony of Padua Catholic Community in Hollywood, Florida.
