January 3 ,1949 -January 3 ,1951 ).He was an unsuccessful candidate for reelection to the Eighty-second Congress in 1950.He served as assistant attorney general, Office of the Attorney General, State of Indiana, 1952.He served as assistant city attorney,Indianapolis, Indiana from 1956 to 1957.He served as member of the Indiana State Election Board from 1958 to 1966. Secretary, Democratic State committee from 1959 to 1966.He served as delegate, Democratic National Convention, 1964. United States district judge for the Southern District of Indiana from 1966 to 1992 and chief judge from 1984 to 1992.He died onAugust 12 ,1992 , inIndianapolis, Indiana .He was interred inCrown Hill Cemetery, Indiana polis, Indiana.References
