"The Political Party" is an Irish politically-themed chat show, broadcast by TV3. It runs for half an hour (17:00-17:30) on Sunday evenings. Part of TV3's original programming, it airs just before "", which often references the show in its Sunday bulletins.

Hosted by TV3's political editor, Ursula Halligan, the show has an eccentric approach to guests, and can include government ministers, poverty campaigners and maverick business leaders in the same programme.

"The Political Party" is driven by Halligan's quirky style of questioning, which can frequently lead the guests to volunteer information they did not expect to.

The programme often generates news stories, as politicians (and others) have chosen it to reveal "exclusives" on air. Billed as "the show the politicians are watching", it has developed an audience of politicians, media types and others with an interest in the inside track on Irish politics.
