Gabriele Dell’Otto (born on
December 20 1973 ) is an Italian illustrator author whose works have been published in several countries of the world.His activity during the years included several fields: scientific illustration, calendars, lithographies, books, coloured graphic folders, covers of magazines, videogame covers.
Biography
He was born in
Rome . He got a diploma in artistic maturity and registered himself in the European Design Institute. In 1998 started collaborating with the European division ofMarvel Comics (Covers, Posters, lithographies for Italy, France, Germany). In Germany he started collaborating also withDC Comics and other publishers such as IPP, Egmont Ehapa, MG Publishing.In 2002-2003 the Italian
Carabinieri entrusted him the realization of the images for their historical calendar.In 2002 his work was shown to
Joe Quesada , the editor-in-chief of Marvel Comics, which entrusted the art for the "Secret War" mini-series, written byBrian Michael Bendis .In 2006 he realized the cover and all the promotional images of the Italian version of the
Activision videogame "".Between 2006 and 2007 Dell'Otto provided all the covers of the mini-saga "Annihilation" based on cosmic characters of the
Marvel Universe . In May 2007 he published the illustrated book "Tales".References
