John Wesley Brandes (born April 2, 1964 in Fort Riley, Kansas) is a former American football tight end and deep-snapper in the National Football League for the Indianapolis Colts, Washington Redskins, New York Giants, and the San Francisco 49ers.

He was an offensive guard in college for Cameron University of the NAIA.

He has two children named Shane and Shelby with his wife Linda who coaches at a middle school. Johns mother Sally also resides at the Brandes home.
