January 20 ,1835 -October 28 ,1883 ) was a U.S. Representative fromAlabama .Born in
Talladega, Alabama , Bradford attended the local school.He was graduated from theUniversity of Alabama at Tuscaloosa in 1854.He studied law.He was admitted to the bar in 1855 and commenced practice inTalladega, Alabama .He served in theConfederate States Army as major of the Tenth Regiment, Alabama Infantry, and subsequently became lieutenant colonel of the Thirtieth Regiment, Alabama Infantry.He served as member of the State house of representatives in 1871 and 1872.Bradford was elected as a Democrat to the Forty-fourth Congress (
March 4 ,1875 -March 3 ,1877 ).He was not a candidate for renomination in 1876.He continued the practice of law inTalladega, Alabama , until his death onOctober 28 ,1883 .He was interred in Oak Hill Cemetery,Talladega, Alabama .References
