Thomas Francis Ford (
February 18 ,1873 -December 26 ,1958 ) was a U.S. Representative fromCalifornia .Born in St. Louis, Missouri, Ford attended public and private schools.He served in the United States Postal Service 1896-1903.He studied law at
Toledo, Ohio .He engaged in newspaper work inWashington ,Idaho ,California , andWashington, D.C. from 1913 to 1929. Magazine and literary editor in Los Angeles 1919-1929. Lecturer on international trade at theUniversity of Southern California at Los Angeles in 1920 and 1921. Publicity director of the Los Angeles water and power department 1920-1931.He served as member of the Los Angeles City Council 1931-1933.Ford was elected as a Democrat to the Seventy-third and to the five succeeding Congresses (
March 4 ,1933 -January 3 ,1945 ).He was not a candidate for renomination in 1944. Assumed the management of his rental properties.He died inSouth Pasadena, California ,December 26 ,1958 .He was interred in Forest Lawn Memorial Park,Glendale, California .References
