Thomas F. Ford

Thomas Francis Ford (February 18, 1873 - December 26, 1958) was a U.S. Representative from California.

Born in St. Louis, Missouri, Ford attended public and private schools.He served in the United States Postal Service 1896-1903.He studied law at Toledo, Ohio.He engaged in newspaper work in Washington, Idaho, California, and Washington, D.C. from 1913 to 1929. Magazine and literary editor in Los Angeles 1919-1929. Lecturer on international trade at the University of Southern California at Los Angeles in 1920 and 1921. Publicity director of the Los Angeles water and power department 1920-1931.He served as member of the Los Angeles City Council 1931-1933.

Ford was elected as a Democrat to the Seventy-third and to the five succeeding Congresses (March 4, 1933-January 3, 1945).He was not a candidate for renomination in 1944. Assumed the management of his rental properties.He died in South Pasadena, California, December 26, 1958.He was interred in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Glendale, California.
