XMS (short for Extended Messaging Service) is a planned program to allow rich text formatting in SMS messages. The XMS message is a message with a custom SMS message with a special format to enable a rich interface including a color for the text of the message, a background color for the message and a border and can contain smileys provided that both sides (Mobiles) have XMS enabled applications.
