Sardheri

Sardheri (Also know as Sardhero or Sardheray) is a town located in Charsadda District in the North West Frontier Province of Pakistan.

Location

Sardheri is situated on the Charsadda-Mardan road, 6 miles from Charsadda city towards East or 15 miles from Mardan towards West. The land of this town is very fertile, where three crops can be grown in a year. Major crops grown here are sugar cane, tobacco, wheat and many vegetables.

Sardheri is a central town to many famous rural areas such as Sheiko, Ibrahim Zai, Palosa, Mahmond Nari, Balooli, Ahmad Ustaz Kali, Hasan Khel, Ghunda Karkana, Kuladher, Malkadher, Gulabad, Manga Dargai and alsoo the the big Village Wardaga (Faqir abad). Wardaga is of central importance in the religious, political, economical, agricultural and ethical auspects in not only Ashnaghar but also in provincial, national and international concerns.

Tribes

Most of the people of Sardheri are Pashtuns.The majorities are from the known tribes of Muhammad Zai, Yousaf Zai, Wardag, Kanan Khel, Utman Khel, Umar Zai and others.

Sardheri is a home town of the great great leader and social reformer Khan Abdul Ghaffar Khan Known As Bacha Khan, His Sons Khan Abdulwali Khan, Ghani Khan, Asfandyar Khan, Ali Khan, Dr. Khan Sahib, Great Khudai Khidmatgar Fazal Rahim Saaqi, Nisar Ahmed Khan (Former Railway Minister), Ihsan Ullah Khan (Former Provicial Minister And District Council Chair), Naseer Muhammad Khan (Present District Nazim), Ihsan Ali Khan (Vc Hazara University), Bagol Ustaz, the great Islamic scholor and Sheikhul Hadees Maulana Hazrat Israeel, the known social activist and Poet Muazam Jan Muazam Of Shaheed Wardaga and also the village of the young journalist, auther and poet Hayat Roghani (Faqeer Abad/ Wardaga). Late Shah Nawaz Khan known as Khanjee (father of Azmat Nawaz Khan)belonged to Sardheri. Sardheri is the home town of the author (Dr. Aurangzeb Khan)
