USS Pollack

USS Pollack

Two submarines of the United States Navy have borne the name USS "Pollack", named in honor of the pollack, a food fish resembling the true cod.

* The first "Pollack", (SS-180), was a "Porpoise"-class submarine, commissioned in 1937 and struck in 1946.
* The second "Pollack", (SSN-603), was a "Permit"-class submarine, commissioned in 1964 and struck in 1989.
