David Barker, Jr.

David Barker, Jr. (January 8, 1797 – April 1, 1834) was a U.S. Representative from New Hampshire.

Born in Stratham, New Hampshire, Barker attended Phillips Exeter Academy, Exeter, and was graduated from Harvard University in 1815. He studied law and was admitted to the bar in 1819, commencing practice in Rochester, New Hampshire.

Barker served as member of the New Hampshire House of Representatives in 1823, 1825, and 1826. He was elected as an Adams candidate to the Twentieth Congress (March 4, 1827 – March 3, 1829).

He resumed the practice of law after his term in Congress and was an original member of the New Hampshire Historical Society. He died in Rochester, New Hampshire, April 1, 1834, and was interred in the Old Rochester Cemetery.
