Jacqueline Grace Reeves (born 1937) is an
African-American educator and minister with 40 years of experience as a teacher, counselor, team, leader, and curriculum developer in the New Jersey Public School System. She earned a B.Sc. degree in Elementary Education fromCheyney University of Pennsylvania , M.A. degree fromKean College of New Jersey, and a D.Ed. degree from theUniversity of Massachusetts at Amherst . Reeves has also been elected and inducted into “Who’s Who Among Teachers in America" for 2005 and again in 2006. Currently Reeves is a Professor of Education atWilliam Paterson University inWayne, New Jersey .Upon completion of all ministerial course requirements, Reeves was ordained Itinerant Elder in the
African Methodist Episcopal Church (A.M.E) under the late Bishop John Douglas Bright onApril 17 ,1970 . Reeves held the position of Director of Christian Education for 12 years for the New York Annual Conference and is the former Principal of the St. James Preparatory School inNewark, New Jersey , under the sponsorship of St. James A.M.E. Church.In 1982, Reeves founded
Spoken Word Ministries , Inc., which is an intercessory prayer ministry, aimed at winning souls for Christ, training and equipping the Body of Christ with a firm prayer foundation. In addition, she counsels and ministers to physically and sexually abused children. She is a noted speaker for conferences, retreats, and workshops throughout the U.S., and is well known for her missionary travels to South Africa, Bermuda, and Argentina. Reeves is also a writer oflitany and devotional materials.
