IBM NICA (Networked Interactive Content Access) is an end-to-end digital asset management solution that provides the ability to manage, archive, retrieve, reuse and sell publishing content such as text, images, graphics, PDFs, QuarkXPress and InDesign pages and video and audio clips. Typical customers are newspapers and magazine publishers, photo and press agencies and companies that need to manage publishing content.NICA's modular and distributed architecture allows the system to scale to the needs of a single department or the entire enterprise. NICA integrates easily with production workflows, desktop applications and front-end editorial systems. NICA provides the workflow management that allows its integration into the customer's environment, preserving historical media, increasing productivity and shortening production times, all while allowing reuse of content for new revenue streams.
