Siddhashram

Siddhashram

In Hindu mythology, Siddhashram is a secret land deep in the Himalayas, where great yogis, sadhus, and sages live. The concept is similar to Tibetan mystical land of Shambhala.

Siddhashram is referred in many Indian epics and Puranas including Ramayana and Mahabharata. In Valmiki's Ramayana it is said that Viswamitra has his hermitage in Siddhashram. He takes Rama and Lakshmana to Siddhashram to exterminate the demons who are disturbing his religious sacrifices.

In the modern era, the knowledge of Siddhashram is renewed by Dr.Narayan Dutt Shrimali, the incarnation of the sage Paramhans Nikhileswaranand who is believed to be the chief controller of Siddhashram. this is a very small description of a great place ,much more has to be seen and written about siddh ashram as it is the place of many greats living in the past,a mystical place where one can visit only if he has the blessings of a divine person who is a regular of the place,

Siddhashram, as the name suggests, is an ashram of siddhs, people who have attained the minimum qualification to enter the ashram. Without this no one can find it and no one can locate it, and this uniqueness makes it a place of curiosity amongst researchers, explorers and of course sadhaks. Many tried hard to find it but failed as they say it is not your effort which takes you there but your unconquerable faith and belief in yourself and sadhanas that can take you there. For common people it remains a mystery which is to be solved quickly; otherwise people tend to forget. And as we all know that we have lost our greatness in copying the west, we all definitely can lose the road map to siddhashram. It is up to us to find it out. Thanks
