Jay Staggs is an American football defensive back. He played college football as a defensive back and wide receiver for the UNLV Rebels. Staggs briefly played for the National Football League's Chicago Bears, and Canadian Football League's Montreal Alouettes.

Professional career

On April 30,2007, Staggs signed a free agent contract with the Chicago Bears from April 30, 2007 to August 27, 2007 after competeing in the Bears 2007 Training Camp. On January 12, 2008, Staggs signed a free agent contract with the Montreal Alouettes of the Canadian Football League. Currently, Staggs is head coach of the junior varsity football team for Coronado High School, in Henderson, Nevada.

College career

Staggs appeared in 46 career games and started in his final 23 games played as a defensive back.
