"Ufo abei" is the only species in the gall wasp genus "Ufo". It was recently described from Japan. The genus got its name from the impression its morphology first made on the authors:“what is this ‘Unidentified Flying Object’ ?” [ [http://actazool.nhmus.hu/51/4/melika.pdf] Melika, G.1, Ros-Farré, P., Pénzes, Zs., Ács, Z.1 and Pujade-Villar, J.
