Pseudogygites can reach 25 cms in length and 10 cms in width.
Description
The
pygidium and thecephalon are about equal in size and shape. Theglabella is expanded forward, reaching to theanterior margin . Pseudogygites has shortgenal spines and smallcompound eyes located in the center of the cephalon with theglabella in between. Thepygidium contains faintpleural furrows and noaxial rings .Distribution
Pseudogygites is found in late Ordovician oil shales in New York, Ontario, and Southampton Island in the Canadian arctic.
