- Jim O'Neal
Jim O'Neal (b. 1948) is an American
blues expert, writer, record producer and record company executive.He co-founded America's first
blues magazine,Living Blues , in Chicago in 1970, since when the magazine has set standards for blues history, culture, and journalism worldwide.He was a co-founder of Rooster Blues Records, and currently (2007) operates the Stackhouse label, with bases in
Clarksdale, Mississippi , and Kansas City.He is co-editor of the book "The Voice of the Blues: Classic Interviews from Living Blues Magazine" (Routledge, 2002).
He was inducted into the
Blues Hall of Fame in 2002.External links
