Team Dignitas

Team Dignitas is an International e-Sports team which is headquartered in Great Britain and which is among the best British gaming teams. It was founded on the 9th of September 2003 as a fusion of the Battlefield 1942 clans Legion Condor and Sweden Kompanix. Thus the clan was a pure Battlefield clan in the beginning. By and by, however, more teams were added to the organisation, in July 2004 Team Dignitas was registered as a company: Team Dignitas Ltd.Managing Director and thus man in charge of the clan is Michael 'ODEE' O'Dell.

Unlike other major gaming teams Dignitas is known to also be supporting the "smaller" games, i.e. eSports games that are less popular or smaller in community size. Currently the organisation has the following teams:

Honors and Achievements

In August 2006 the Call of Duty 2 team was elected the third best team in Europe by Cadred.org. In August 2007 the French site Majestic 24/7 chose the World in Conflict team as number one in the European Summer Ranking. Throughout the years Team Dignitas was able to achieve numerous important vicories. In 2007 Dignitas was able to announce its first ever World Champion with Freek "XeNoGeaR" winning the Trackmania Nations competition at the Electronic Sports World Cup (he also came second at the ESWC 2008 one year later). Also in 2007, Team Dignitas player Shaun "Apollo" Clark placed first in at the World Cyber Games 2007.

Media appearances

Team Dignitas has been in both local and mainstream media over the years. During the Electronic Sports World Cup 2007, Team Dignitas kept an online diary about the team's attendance at the event on the BBC website.
