Duck game

Duck game

The duck game is a series of questions and answers that are repeated. The entertaining aspect of the game is both that the questions and answers can be funny in various different ways and that the people playing the game might begin to forget their lines. It can be played by any number of people and with as many rounds as desired.

Procedure

This shows the way the game could be played. There are repetitions and patterns to the game and these should be kept in playing it. These pieces are displayed in bold and separate players are shown in different colors. The items that can change are underlined.

#"Player 2:" fontcolor|blue|A what?
#"Player 1:" fontcolor|red|A duck.
#"Player 2:" fontcolor|blue|Well, does it quack?

#"Player 2 → 3:" fontcolor|blue|Would you like to buy an apple
#"Player 3 → 2:" fontcolor|green|A what?
#"Player 2 → 1:" fontcolor|blue|A what?
#"Player 1 → 2:" fontcolor|red|A duck
#"Player 2 → 3:" fontcolor|blue|An apple
#"Player 3 → 2:" fontcolor|green|Well, is it sour?
#"Player 2 → 1:" fontcolor|blue|Well, does it quack?
#"Player 1 → 2:" fontcolor|red|Well of course it quacks. It's a duck!
#"Player 2 → 3:" fontcolor|blue|Well of course it's sour. It's an apple!

Along with the items that have been underlined other parts of the game can change also. These however only have to do with the grammar of the things being said. For example, the differences between lines 4 and 12 versus 11 is if the person is asking if an object does something or is something. The same contrast is between lines 5 and 13 versus 14. Another thing that changes is the indefinite article used with the noun (duck, apple, etc.). This discrepancy is between using a or an.
