Ebbw Vale Hospital

Ebbw Vale Hospital

The original Ebbw Vale Hospital closed at the end of 2005. A new replacement hospital named Ysbyty Aneurin Bevan is to be built at a cost of £34 million by 2010 on the site of the former Corus steel works site at Ebbw Vale. The hospital will be managed by the Gwent Healthcare NHS Trust.

The new 107-bed Local General Hospital will provide 10,000 square metres of accommodation for outpatient clinics, local diagnostics, minor injuries unit, therapy services, an adult mental health unit and inpatient facilities for rehabilitation, palliative care and elderly support services.
