Wilhelm Albert, Duke of Urach

Prince Wilhelm Albert Raphael Maria of Urach, Count of Württemberg, 5th Duke of Urach ("Wilhelm Fürst von Urach, Graf von Württemberg, Herzog von Urach") was born on 9 August 1957 in Hohenberg Castle, Bavaria, Germany. He is the son of Prince Eberhard of Urach and Princess Iniga of Thurn and Taxis and a grandson of King Mindaugas II of Lithuania.

Prince Wilhelm Albert succeeded his brother Karl Anselm as Duke of Urach after his brother renounced the title in 1991, due to his morganatic marriage.


=Marriage and children= He married Karen von Brauchitsch, daughter of Konrad von Brauchitsch and wife Mariette Hermans, on 1 February 1992 in Rimburg, Germany. They have one son and two daughters:

* Prince Karl Philipp of Urach (b. 6 July 1992)
* Princess Alexandra-Charlotte of Urach (b. 18 February 1994)
* Princess Louisa Antonia of Urach (b. 12 February 1996)
