The SIG Mosquito is a Blowback operated semi-automatic pistol based on the Sig Sauer P226 but 10% smaller and chambered for the .22 Long Rifle cartridge. The pistol is manufactured by the Swiss company Swiss Arms.

The Mosquito is set up with the same decocker and slide-lock as the larger Sig-Sauer pistols, but also features a slide-mounted ambidextrous manual safety. All models have a picatinny rail on the dust cover of the frame.

Variants

The Mosquito is offered in five different configurations;
*Mosquito - Standard model
*Mosquito Sport - Longer barrel and barrel weight for increased accuracy and longer sight radius
*Mosquito w/threaded barrel - Barrel is threaded for a suppressor
*Mosquito Two-Tone - Black frame and Stainless slide
*Mosquito Reversed Two-Tone - Black slide and 'stainless' finished polymer frame

Accessories

Among the factory accessories for the Mosquito is a sight mount that fastens to the picatinny rail and makes it possible to mount a red-dot sight. There is also a leather and a kydex holster. The picatinny rail makes it possible to mount most lights and lasers that are available today.
