Sheerness Swimming Club & Lifeguard Corps

The Sheerness Swimming Club was started in 1884. The Sheerness Lifeguard Corps was formed on 17 April 1959. The two Clubs merged on 2 February 1969 to become The Sheerness Swimming Club & Lifeguard Corps. The Club is still serving the residents of the Isle of Sheppey and will be celebrating 125 years in 2009.
