S3D (game engine)

The S3D engine is the game engine that was written to power 1998's Railroad Tycoon II, developed by PopTop Software for the Windows 32bit platform. It was later ported to Linux and Mac OS Classic. Improved versions were used for Tropico and games.The S3D engine featured an isometric 3D view with several levels of zoom and 90 degree rotation. Initial version was specifically optimised for 1024x768 16bit resolution.
