Many inhabitants of the Standing Rock Indian Reservation are employed at the casino. Located just 10 miles from the state's border with South Dakota, the casino also serves the north-central region of that state.

The Pavilion

Prairie Knights is also home to an entertainment pavilion that sees about 15 music concerts every year. It has become one of the largest entertainment attractions in the western half of the state, being host to more national music acts than the nearby Bismarck Civic Center per year. Musical acts have included country, hard rock, and parodist "Weird Al" Yankovic.
