Paul Dear (born 28 December 1966) is a former Australian rules footballer who played for Hawthorn.

A half forward flanker, Dear made his debut in the 1987 season and played in that year's Grand Final. He filled in for the unavailable Jason Dunstall at full forward but ended up on the losing side.

Fours years later he got his premiership medalion, helping Hawthorn defeat West Coast in the 1991 Grand Final with two goals and winning the Norm Smith Medal.
