Pernamitta is a medium sized village in India of around 20000 people. It is situated 3 miles west of Ongole on the road to Kurnool.now the land rates in this village are hiked to agreat extent.here land rates are nearly 25 lacks to 40 lacks per acra

It is mainly an agricultural village but slowly becoming satellite or bedroom community for Ongole as lot of manufacturing and granite industries have sprung in the last couple of decades. The granite industry is transforming the area between Ongole and Chimakurthi which are 12 miles apart on Kurnool road. The areas surrounding Chimakurthi are a major source of prized black granite.

The village is primarily known around the area for its private educational institutes such as Subbiah School and Adarsha Residential College.

It has 3 main temples and few other minor temples. The main temples with rich patronages are Rama, Vishnu, and Shiva temples. The majority patrons of the first two temples are the competing political factions which are also different castes Reddys (Congress) and Kammas (TDP) respectively.
