Animal Magic withJohnny Morris , whom he describes as his second mentor after Maxwell. Animal Magic closed in 1983, and a year later Nutkins was asked to put together a new animal series, which resulted inThe Really Wild Show , which he presented from 1986 to 1993. In 1999 he inherited a large portion of Johnny Morris's estate, which led him to the purchase ofFort Augustus Abbey , and the Lovat Arms Hotel in the same area, which were unsuccessful business ventures.In addition to his television work, Nutkins was a significant force in the world of amateur and semi professional jet-skiing, winning the world crown in 1987, and remaining competitive on the circuit well into the early 90s.
In 2004, he appeared on Living TV's reality television show, "
